Greetings to all of God’s wonderful people across the world in the matchless Name of Jesus Christ, our soon-coming King.

As I reflect on the state of the world today, I am reminded of a message I recently shared with two men from affluent society, and it’s a truth worth sharing with everyone.

Consider this:

The heavens—the stars, the moon, the sun, and the vast expanse beyond, filled with galaxies, planets, and the indescribable wonders of the unseen heavenly realms.

And

The earth—what we see, what we don’t see, what we possess, and what others hold—kingdoms, dominions, armies, powers, riches, and the events unfolding before our eyes.

All of this will pass away.

But Jesus declared:

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." —Matthew 24:35 (KJV)

God’s Word—Jesus, the Living Word—is eternal. Everything in this world, no matter how valuable or powerful, is temporary.

The ambitions, possessions, and even the "gab" of this world will fade. You may not always have the right connections or possess the ability to engage in "intelligent gab" to influence those around you. But even if you miss out on worldly success, none of that matters if you have the Word of God in your heart.

The Word will never pass away.

Jesus is our hope in hopeless situations and the guarantee of our eternal home. Instead of being consumed by the pursuit of earthly treasures, focus on laying up treasures in heaven—the kind that endures forever.

"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal." —Matthew 6:19-20 (KJV)
