Baiyer Valley Receives God's Word with Gratitude

The Baiyer River District of the PNG Bible Church recently witnessed two significant church events: the dedication of a newly built church and pastor's house, followed by a baptism service on Sunday where twenty young people were baptized.

The Zoowaka local church was filled with life as Pastor Paul Pupundi, Head Pastor of the nearby Mt. Hagen District, led the dedication and prayer of blessings.

Before these events, an open-air mini crusade was held, attracting many people eager to hear life-changing messages from God's word. God's presence was felt powerfully, transforming many lives. Pastors Peter Limbu and Paul Pupundi, who were the host preachers, delivered soul-searching and powerful sermons that drew many to Christ. As a result, ten individuals who had been considered hardcore sinners were saved. Zoowaka local church, located adjacent to the famous Baiyer Zoo that once attracted thousands of tourists, played a pivotal role in these spiritual awakenings.

Baiyer is one of the pioneer districts established in the early 1960s by American missionaries. Sharing borders with Dei and Mul constituencies, the district is home to many local churches. District church members and pastors work cooperatively and are eagerly anticipating the continued work of God in their district.
