Six Thousand Women Gather for a Historic Ladies Retreat

The 2025 National Ladies Retreat was successfully held with over six thousand women who came from the 24 Districts of the PNG Bible Church nationwide. The District Church ground was packed to capacity. These women came from as far as New Guinea Islands, Western Province and East Sepik. They were hungry for God and wanted to see change and transformation in their lives. However, God saw their need and filled them up with His strength and glory.

In one of the sessions, they didn't hear preaching - God came in a mighty way and filled the camp with His presence, and everyone was in tears seeking God for His infilling. From the begininng till end, revival fire permeated every service. Testimonies and songs were sung with gratitude and thanksgiving. What a resounding retreat and to God be the glory for the great things He has done!

 God is still at work! When you do things God's way, God's presence will always be there.

Sister Krista Kos and Mrs.Susan Toite delivered series of powerful sermons that transformed many lives. Their preachings were centered on how to be a godly woman at home, workplace and society. "Family, home and society will change when you pray, fast and live a practical godly life," said Sister Kos.

Kamuka is one of the pioneer Districts, located in the Upper Nebilyer area of Tambul District, Western Highlands Province.The District was first established in the late 1960s. The first American missionaries who visited the District and did initial development including David Jones,Virginia Wilcox, to name a few.

 Prior to that, local pioneer pastor Sarowa Kimbu first went and started a church there and many locals came to know Christ. From then on the place further developed and became a District with the establishment of many local churches,an ACE school and a new Campus Tabernacle.

However,for Kamuka District,it was a first time expirience to host a national event of such magnitude, but they have delivered exceptionally well.

The National Chairlady of the Women's Ministry, Sister Joyce Tunge and her Executives were also present.

The National Chairman of the PNG Bible Church, Rev. Wane Ninjipa, officially opened the program with a few remarks and a word of prayer.

After the approval , the villagers there all came together,took ownership and built the road and camp facilities including installation of electricity and water supply. They also donated food, financial assistance and transportation to ensure everything was up to standard to host the Retreat. Because of their hard work and commitment, the retreat was succesfully delivered.

Sister Joy Poik, Chairlady of the Kamuka District Ladies Ministry, thanked the women who attended the retreat and wished them a safe travel back to their respective districts.

The Theme of the Retreat was: "Behind every successful man, church, family and country, there is a strong godly woman." For strength, stability, and comfort, mothers' play a pivotal role in the family. Women are the backbone of family, home and society. When women fail their duties and responsibilities, family, home and society crumbles.

The 2025 National Ladies Retreat ended on a high note. The 2026 Ladies Retreat will be held in Pabarabuk, the national headquarters of the PNG Bible Church.
