In the heart of the Walume District, the PNG Bible Church in Yombi had a momentous day when they baptized 14 people in front of a big crowd. It was a deeply emotional event with the candidates shedding tears of joy, and they made a solemn promise to remain faithful to God until the return of Jesus or until death separates them.

The church was filled to capacity, showing how important this event was to the community. Before the baptism, they held a week-long service that helped many people spiritually. Ps. James Langi and the congregation were gracious hosts for this special occasion.

Several local leaders attended, including Mr. Robert Dopo, who serves as both the Tribe Councilor and the LLG President in the Ialibu Basin. Mr. Dopo praised the churches for their efforts in spreading the gospel, which has saved many lives. He expressed his willingness to work with churches, acknowledging that the Word of God can help people leave behind destructive behaviors like drugs, crime, prostitution, and lawlessness. The week-long event, ending with the baptism, left everyone in high spirits.
